Reading a language and catching it at full speed are different skills — plenty of learners can follow a page and still lose the thread the moment someone talks. These climb that gap in order: hear every sentence as you read it, then write down what you catch with nothing to read along to, then prove the meaning actually landed.
Knowing a word and finding it mid-sentence are different things too. This ladder starts with your mouth — say the sentence, hear it next to a native speaker — then takes the sentence away and makes you rebuild it from its meaning alone, and finally asks for something of your own, with nothing to copy from.
One short written response per story, read and marked up with what to fix.
No deck to build and no queue to clear. The words and the verb forms are taught from the story you're about to read and drilled inside its own sentences, so what you practise is what you just met — and review comes back to the ones you actually missed, in the stories you actually read.
Everyone learning Spanish gets the same sentences each day. No account, no download — pick your level and the first one is right here.

Start with whichever one looks interesting — there's no better place to begin, and nothing is locked. Every story is written and edited by a real person: never raw AI output, never textbook prose. Everyday words, real turns of phrase, and a plot you'll want to see the end of. One here from every level, from your first words to the long way down.
A course decides for you. Each one runs in order, from your first words to holding a conversation, and the next step is always waiting — no planning, no picking. A lesson is one sitting: a short explanation, a conversation or passage that uses it, and the exercises to make it stick. Made for restarters and self-taught learners who are done overthinking the roadmap.
Forget flashcards — challenge friends or strangers in real time instead. Same exercise, same level, whoever finishes cleanest wins: reinforcement that's actually fun, against people who are actually there.
Getting started is free, no card required: the daily challenge, A0 stories, curriculum lessons, vocab quizzes, and 3 full stories a month. A free account also opens every A1 story. Pro is $12/month (or $79/year) for unlimited stories at every level. See the pricing page for details.
You can play the daily challenge and explore stories without one. Log in to save vocabulary, run vocab quizzes, use speech recognition for pronunciation, and keep your streaks and progress.
No. The bottom of the ladder starts at the alphabet and the sounds, and the first stories are a few sentences long. Tap any word for its meaning and its audio as you read.
They’re written and edited for YoloSabo by a real person — never raw AI output, never textbook sentences. The bar is language you’d actually hear: everyday words and real turns of phrase. They’re short, self-contained, levelled by CEFR difficulty, and worth reading on their own.
One shared puzzle a day — everyone learning your language gets the same one. It plays right in your browser with no account, so it’s the fastest way to try YoloSabo. Come back daily to build a streak.
That’s the most common place people stall: you can recognise plenty, but native speed still washes over you and speaking still freezes. Start at A2 with a story you can follow, then do its listening and retell exercises rather than reading more. The daily challenge is a quick gauge of where you actually are.
That’s what the listening and retell exercises are for. You hear each sentence at real speed and write down what you caught — the same audio the story uses, so you’re not jumping from a graded voice straight into the deep end.
There’s no deck to build and no quota to clear. Review here is built from the words you actually missed, in the stories you actually read — not a pile you have to maintain.
